    Default KLUSTERFUK Vol.1

This is my first attempt at a vid, please don't let that sway you from watching. Looking for some feed for my future in this shit! Inspired by no one, I began filming it an editing it before I found this board then I saw how many crazy good dudes are on this thing, so needless to say it shouldn't resemble anyone elses 'style' I guess. I tried to keep the super fake shit to a bare bare minimum, super fake shit only being a big drop or two. Enjoy!

not bad for a first. the doubles clips were synced well and that is hard. i would just suggest pulling the cam back a tad on some of the clips. you know the ones.

Some cool tricks and those doubles were awesome, but now for some crits to help you get better.

I'll start with you're filming cause thats half the battle with fakeskating in my opinion. I noticed a few clips where you don't show you're dude landing the trick, quick suggestion is don't do that anymore. Its different if you're using them as artsy shots for an intro or something but when they're smack dab in the middle of your video it just throws things off. Another thing is back up your camera. I'm not sure if you know this but you can get a better fisheye effect by zooming your camera in and out. It's hard to explain through text, but I'll link a vid that better explains the different types of filming in this game. Also, when you're watching someones elses vids, try to look and see where they're placing the camera and how abouts the camera moves itself. A big part of filming properly is fluid motion, very much like real life skate filming.

    Here's that vid I mentioned a second ago: http://youtu.be/4llE5sqsfAw

Ok, onto the other half, your skating. Now you said in the words above your video that you were trying to avoid the really unrealistic stuff which is cool. However when I watched your video a lot of it seemed unrealistic to a certain degree. Not in the sense that you were doing 900's down 12 stairs or anything but there were a few contributing factors that gave me this impression. One of them being how high you were popping your tricks. Generally speaking, most of the realistic guys tend to pop their tricks a lot lower than the norm of your skater crouching all the way and flicking the stick fast to do the trick. You can control the pop of your skater through a few different ways, but I'm not going to give you step by step instructions on how to do all these things because your new and you won't quite get it until you've been apart of the community for a bit and watched some more vids.

My key advice is to watch other peoples videos here and try to study how they're doing their tricks and how they're filming them. I'm not saying you need to start ripping anyone's style off to get better, just that it's ok to have a bit of an influence from your peers here in the fakeskate community.

Here's some notable youtube channels to get you started on the path to enlightenment:

There's definitely more people worth checking out but I'm lazy and can't think of anyone else's youtube channel right now. Hope this helps, keep at it man!
