I think they really wanted to push the "we're just having fun" vibe. Up tempo music, fast cuts, less slo-mo.

Ty got a lot of shit from some of the skate community for the excessive slo-mo stuff in FF (hurr durr not all VX footage, HD is shit derr). The cinematography in pretty sweet was rad as shit tho, HD filming done right.
