Is likely where you want to be.

I was gonna edit and pull out before I got too deep and cant answer. I only know that my .flv clips are converted at 720p resolution and I render in same settings.

I would think the settings would depend on what resolution you want, file type, bitrate, fps etc. I cant check it now sorry since I dont have access to my private computer.

Just saw Antwans post, yeah experiment, I spent days trying to figure it out, had like 45 min renders and then noticing something was wrong, delete, render again 45 min

Experiment I say!
My project is always 720p and I render to 1080p
For some reason it has the best results for standard def slightly sharpened capture card footy.
