Grats on the upcoming day SG! I turned 40 this past Feb 9th and have been skating since Christmas of my 5th birthday.
CAL 240 Flex Board, Represent! Even with Psoriatic Arthritis I still get out a couple times a week on my board and skate.
Here is to many more years for us all being able to skate and fakeskate as we please.

Mine was Blue and had a Black top.

I never realized there were that many "old heads" playing the game/on fluckit, seriously stoked on that. And to think that you've been skating for 30+ years is beyond sick. I've "only" been skating for 12 years now, nothing impressive to show for it either, but I felt as if that was a long time already haha I definitely will keep on pushing for many years to come, for as long as I can stand on both legs, and I hope you will all too! Have a good one SG!

I hope I do to man. It's getting close and the texts and calls are coming in. A lot of friends can't swing it, which I totally understand because I most likely wouldn't/couldn't make it to them for theirs. But they left not me so fuck em ha. My best friend is coming so its not like I'm not going to totally have the best time.
I seriously can't wait but I'm having a party Saturday and skating the next morning so I'm going to be probably hung the fuck over. We might spend the entire afternoon bullshiting at 6 different spots but who cares

We "Elder Statesmen" have to stick together. Can't let these young punks try and run rough shod without respecting history! And I am definitely an old fuck.
I rode other peoples boards until my friend got a new complete for his birthday. So, he sold me his Roskopp 1 for $20 which became my first "Pro" model board.
It was kitted out like the Max Headroom deck with lapers, copers, nose, tail, and ribs as well. >_<! It had Gullwing trucks and OJ wheels. Broke the Gullwing
trucks inside a month so I bought Trackers and broke them inside two months. Bought Indy's and have never looked back. When I finally took all the crap off
of it except the rails the world opened up in my skating. Too bad I snapped the deck doing a Boneless over a little red wagon. Went to the local skate/surf shop
back then and bought my first Powell-Peralta deck... Also, love the D.R.I. sticker on the deck above. Skateboarding also introduced me to my love of Punk music.

My first pro model (had it in white). Yeah, I remember putting all kinds of stuff on that thing so it would last longer. Took all of it off soon enough though. I rode Indy from the beginning, stuck with it ever since. I remember breaking a lot of kingpins though. Happy times.

McGil was the first pro I saw. It was cool he was like the paid headliner demo guy at a vert contest. He wasn't in the contest but skated a few runs. You think your friends are "could be pro" material and then you see a pro. It was stil McGill tho, left wanting someone else. Stupid shit I was, would love to see him skate now. It was just like the old videos with mass crowds on both sides of the 16' wide by prob 12 tall ramp. Good times

I fact I got it on VHS tape, not him but the contest and practicing
