I once installed it on my old computer, but that one couldn't handle it. avid is apparently taking over the editing business from adobe. In the movie business they already use it a lot and a couple of schools for video editing use it too

yeah man alot of the Motion Pictures are "cut" with Avid now days for sure, wondering why so... I "bought" it, you know
Interface looked similar to Fcp7, so I was intrigued
had a few questions that dont seemed to be answered anywhere, so trial and error here I come
also heard it was faster than even fcp7 (which my machine can handle flawlessly but fcpX fuck nah!, crazy)
and the fact it is both PC and Mac is cool too
word guess Ill just go at it soon

I am using avid studio which is the cheapest form of Media composer. I have been stupid interested in media composer. I bought some package awhile ago which gave me all the tips and whatnot thinking it was for the one program yet its for that. I want to get it someday, but money!!
I think wiltz is using Avid too.

I'm a little bit hesitant about trying it, since I heard from a couple of people it's overly complicated.. is it? or is it just like premiere or final cut?
