My "portrait" art show pieces

whats up with the Red Rag?..... you use that to kind of mush and spread the Color? (less hard gradient edges)

Thanks dude, these are done with a dry brush technique. The red rag is a paper towel. Basically you get paint on the brush then dab it all off. Then you slowly add layers and layers of color down til you get the shading you like. It's almost like airbrushing. It is just the easiest way (and most enjoyable to me) to get the look I'm going for.
Very similar to how I did GC's I just build and build layers of shapes.
I have never had any professional training. The GC's were the first art shit I did since high school so I just kind of wing it. I ain't kidding when I say I wouldn't probable do this shit if it wasn't for SKATE

then she goes "wait isnt the signguy that guy from skate with all the graphics?"

I know it had to come from here because all other versions of this pic were cropped. Pretty freaking cool scrolling down my Facebook feed this morning and coming across this pic I drew shared by the dude I drew and liked by almost 2000 people.
