Default Final Cut Pro 7 and Mountain Lion - "Problem", Help?

ok so I havent played with FCP7 on Ml very much but have today and dang...... not good

does anyone else with Macs use FCP7 and ML? and if so do you guys get really bad Tearing/Banding on your clips in the preview?
this is very frustrating as it almost looks smoother on YT then FCP

if anyone knows how to fix this on Mountain Lion, please holla at me
(I really like ML and dont wanna revert to Snow Leopard again, not to mention I wont be able to use alot of the OpenGL features I like if I go Snow again)

and please DO NOT tell me to use FCPx, its bunk

If you know whats up, HELP.... if not just ignore this thing

thanks snail of course Ive been Googling.....

what I know is Mountain Lion is running 64 bit EFI Architecture, and Snow Leopard is 32 bit..... which FCP7 is 32bit
was hoping someone also ran into his problem (but found a sort of fix for the tearing)

I do have multiple Bays of HDs in my Mac, so I have a 750GB ready to go for a 2nd OS (SnowLeopard), but dammit what a pain........ use ML for everyday stuff, then hop to SL for editing with FCP ahhhhhh

anywho thanks snail, good lookin out
