YOUTUBE DL QUESTION

for those on ps3 who still use youtube for clips: what site or program do you use? i used to use keepvid but keepvid no longer lets me take a 480p flv, only the 240. it lets me download in mp4 flv, but i'm hesitant to download all of my clips in a completely separate file format from my others.

When we are talking about YouTube I don't think platform matters.
Quality, format and resolution for sure though.
What you're looking for sounds very specific..
The only program I've used to do it is Download Helper.
For Firefox, it's an add on but I don't think they have 480p.
I could be wrong though, think it depends on the file.
You try to grab while it's streaming, the add on sees it, then grabs formats to download.
You could try that, or research, might have to dig heavy.

It's weird though, sometimes it let's you download 480p FLV then others only 360p MP4

thanks, i ended up getting Video Downloader Professional on Chrome, but it's still not offering 480p FLV in the download options; the highest it will go is 240p FLV (360p mp4). is nobody else having this same problem?

here you get the choice to dl what version you want, 1080p and even the elusive 4K vids on youtube. easy and fast.

using savefrom, i still dont have an option for 480p video and audio, and i can only get an FLV in 240p.



i'm looking around on google now and it looks like i'm not the only one having this problem so i think it's something on youtube's end. maybe they're trying to crack down on downloading copyrighted content or something, but there's gotta be SOME way the 480p flv is available for download if i can stream it. has anyone else tried to get videos off of youtube recently?

trust me Snail your not the only one...... I hate downloading mp4s and I can only get flvs up to 280 too
