    Default BlackFoot Beats

I thought I would drop a couple beats myself and my friends have made. Let me know what you guys think, and if anybody knows any MC's that wanna collab, hit me up.

Peng Shui: Upbeat and light hip-hop made with acid jazz samples.

Jungle Book: Goes without saying... Sampled from the Jungle book, deep groove and hooky high notes.

MmmmBeat: The party track, Featuring everybody...

Good stuff man, I was feeling those.
I definitely want to get into music more.
Like many other ways to express myself I had a short run in to feel it out, recieve feedback and reflect but lately been wanting to get back to it.
Take this for what it is, non producer trying to make songs happen within a video editor converted to MP3. Did what I had to at the time. Would be down to collaborate when I can finally get a setup going again.

I'm going to quote you from the other to avoid clogging up your video thread!

I got tons of beats but this was quite different from what I normally make, I think I will make a thread somewhere and showcase one or two... See what ya'll think...

EDIT: I did that, link is http://skatefluckit.com/showthread.p...263#post171263
    Thanks for the recommendations!
    Will definitely look into those.
Honestly not entirely sure what you mean by "tracking music" though?
    Multi tracking?
Seems needed as a person who wants to rap too.
Got to have that separation to make it all come together, I believe.
Completely open to anything you want to share though.
You're clearly doing more than I was on the producing side.
Thanks for the share, keep it going.

Tracking is the old-school way of doing things, Like Atari old-school... But to some people seeing timing as a straight 64 note bar helps them.

    Its kinda like coding music...

Im at work right now so cant go in on this too deep, but will answer anything I can, and definatly collab with you if you want.

Im pretty impressed you made anything in a video editor! The rapping is good, recording quality could use a little work, but definately usable... I can definately bring it out fatter in the mix!

    Right on that sounds interesting.
I've been at it a few years now but don't understand it on the level you seem to.
Did you go to school for music?
Making something else may be a ways down the line..
Bunch of things Im trying to get done at this time in my life.
So hard to say, my dad has been working on a studio setup and I visit him every once in a while.
Still interested in how people know this much about music though.
It's almost like producers really understand it on a technical level.
While people who are strictly artists are more fundamental? For me anyway!

I guess my knowledge comes from many different places.

I started with instruments, no knowledge at all... as I taught myself to play, I noticed the patterns and structures of music.

We then did the band thing, got lots of experience through that, all metal at the time, but lessons are lessons...

Then my buddy came back from a music university, we started messing around with samples and stuff around that time, so he brings the tech knowledge, I bring the raw sounds and flow of the track generally.

    That's sick man.
    Yeah, music is music right?
I know a drummer in a metal band that likes to make beats.
They are working hard at getting a spot in the warped tour so we have never collaborated.
Cool to see more people so accepting of genres in that way.
I grew up on alternative and somehow ended up kicking it with beats but I like nearly everything music.

I hear you. I probably like atleast one band in every genre going, I might not know that band yet but I can keep searching! If you got any acapella's of those lyrics on your soundcloud, pm me a link and I will whip up a quickie...

I would've been into that but I don't have those raw files anymore.
My iPhone has been my computer for a while now too.
If there was a way to make a cheap computer die or accident to be had it has happened.
There are a few rappers on fluckit though, they are further along than I am in the process too.

Really? Who else is ballin' round these parts?

Im guessing you dont have any cheap studio's or booths in your area you could rent? I got em in my city from like £14 an hour.

We had a rap thread a while back..
    Rap of the week.
Look for it if interested, my content is gone personally.
Had it in my mind as a good idea at the time to delete my channel and start over.
    That Hasn't worked out yet.
Renting a studio is an interesting thought that somehow went over my head.
Instantly a few factors came to mind but it may depend on where I go.
I don't have or make beats, not familiar with any equipment out there at all and have never preformed in that type of environment before. Sounds much easier than trying to set something up though.

Well you got an almost unlimited supply of beats right here!

Studio's are kick-ass, especially as a vocalist, the sound tech's will do everything for you except spit the bars. If you just wanna lay it down and get home then that is the best way, if you wanna learn more then book an extra hour or two and ask him if you can shadow what he is doing, most producers are like skaters, they are proud of what they are doing and want to show-off their skills.

EDIT: We need to revive the Rap Battle too, anyone else up for some lighthearted comedy battles?

Ha, no shit? Well, that's mighty white a you sir.
I've always seen it as a struggle to have beats on stand by.
Everyone I know personally is either making top notch stuff and expecting compensation or way too busy to help me lay something down. Beats don't tend to sell cheap either.
Youtube has some instrumentals and beats labeled free but you have to worry about how they got the sounds, is the sample too strong and still copyrighted etc. I'll have to look into the studio thing, thanks for brining it to my attention man.
My main focus is that book right now but I would definitely love making some new stuff and that sounds like an excellent option.

I have sold beats, and your right, some people charge crazy money. I worked with a dude from the US before, and he was getting charged $400 for a average beat from a guy that no-one had heard of.

The guy didn't do any edits, just made the beat and shifted it on, no fitting track to lyrics, no mastering with vocals, and it wasnt like his name would bring any extra listeners.

I charged him $100 with about 3 weeks of after work to get it how he wanted it.

You can have 2 or 3 for free if we ever get this ball rolling, if after that you wanna keep it going then we could maybe talk a little payment, but I will never charge and run like that guy did.

    Yeah. I can respect that.
    Hey good looking out man.
We may even be able to throw some stuff back and forth.
My dad is pretty heavy into playing guitar
we've been looking to break that barrier and collaborate for a while now.
We don't live in the same state.
I always picture it with some kind of beat though.
So there's an idea if interested.
Raw electric guitar on a beat, Ever done something like that?

Cool man, glad to hear you're down for that.
I havent asked my dad about it but I'll see about him sending you some riffs to play with.
I imagine you're crazy busy owning a company and all.
So I'll get back to you, maybe give me an email and we can go from there.
There will be no rush at this time as We both have projects going on ourselves.

Yeah its alot of work but I prefer to keep busy!

I know it can be annoying for the people waiting on KOTR and other projects but if I don't keep myself on fresh rotation of things, I get burnt out way too quickly.
