    Default EZCap help?

So I got an EZCap right before EA shut down the YT feature for Ps3 (of course)
    It looks exactly like this:
It's the one with the ArcSoft Showbiz software installed with it. After finally getting everything set up, I noticed that I can't see the gameplay on the software preview but just a black screen. I assumed it was the cables but the S-Video is only optional, right? Since my TV doesn't have a port for that, I have the component cables set up instead. So at the moment I am pretty much stuck. Anyone got anything?

As far as I know the S-Video is optional. Pretty sure you're right on that.
So long as you can see what you're doing on your TV and not your computer you might look at all of the recording software's settings to see if changing something brings the picture up. Otherwise I would just look up exactly what your issue is online.

I think you might have the wrong device selected in the arcsoft software.. when in the capture screen, see which source it's using and then which audio input it should use.. and yeah, you shouldn't need the s-video cable.
If this doesn't help, tell me, I can show you how I've set up my cables and settings in arcsoft
