check your cords and make sure your connections are snug. drivers(update maybe) more details indeed. what kind of capcard/dvr?

I have the diamond gc1000 capture card. My laptop is a Gateway NE522 sereis. It funny that exactly a year ago it worked perfectly.

First time Ive ever heard of the Diamond.
I don't see a ton of info about it online from a quick search but I'll keep looking.
I did read about someone having similar issues, restarting his computer seemed to be a fix sometimes. Maybe start there. See if it helps.
What program are you using to capture?

Im using the default capture software which is called DMcap. What else capture software is there?

A YouTuber recommends this for the diamond.
His videos with it look high quality.

There's a ton of stuff out there though.
Some video editors even let you capture before editing.
Edit: sorry about the short response.
The reason he suggested a new capture software is the one that comes with the device isn't known for being great. I know youre working on a big video so that sucks to read but my theory is maybe it's just your capture software. Anyone can find this info online. Just look up your capture device.
