    Arrow Renegade's Redemption 2 - Memory Lane

Back in 2010, I made a video called 'Renegade's Redemption' where I went back to Skate 2 and made a realistic solo in an effort to redeem myself from the unrealistic way I used to play the game.

This time around, it's 7 years later, I've gotten much better at this game, and I decided to take a look at my old Skate 3 parts to find clips or spots that had potential in them and hit them again with better filming or a better way of hitting the spot. In effect, I am redeeming myself this time around as a result.

I took at least one clip from every video I've been in prior to 2016 and remade it:

    Welcome to Drizzy Co.
    Krooked X Street Montage
    Krooked X All Day
    Sponsor Me (DRIZZYxCO)
    Renegade's 1st Solo
    Renegade's 2nd Solo
    Refugee Graphics Promo
    New Awakening Promo
    Nature Welcomes TSxR3N3GAD3
    Renegade Mini
    Can't Stop
    sponsor me (TSxR3N3GAD3)
    Renegade's Back
    Illusion Welcomes Renegade
My Part in CounterPhobia (The Illusion Full Length)

PoppinSuds is starting to work on another full length, and I'm patiently waiting for that to get done. My entire part is pretty much entirely filmed unless I happen to do something really cool before he's done editing my part. In the meantime, hope y'all enjoy this! I'll do an explanation of every clip in a bit, but I have to get ready for work and I didn't want the 1st post to be excessively long.

    keep it up!!!

some clips were cut to quick, leave some room to follow. for example @ 1:00....shoulda shown the ride away. its always a puzzle if you dont give yourself enough leeway before and after the trick.....Just food for thought for next time when you go film. just need that room for trimming and getting that sync on point.

Thanks bro! I definitely feel you on that too. The intent for editing it the way I did was to sync it to the music for the most part. The other reason was to do something like 12:04 in my full part: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0VAtd51i-I&t=815s I actually do film with ride-outs in there. Should've left a bit more of that in there. Otherwise I'm really stoked about how this turned out, no doubt

DISCLAIMER: A high majority of the videos I'm about to post below are fucking terrible, but they serve the basis for making this video in the first place.

Ok, y'all. Now for the explanations:

Clip 1: The 1st clip was ripped straight out of Krooked X Street Montage and redone to start off. Simple kickflip, half-cab, fakie kickflip. Actually not as bad as some of the clips in there, but it could've been done a little smoother filming wise. I hate panbacks and this video pans back damn near every clip smh. Re-filmed, minus the 1st kickflip, plus a switch nose manual (1:19)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Lo62VX7zyM

Clip 2: From Welcome to Drizzy Co. Fingerflip over the clock tower gap. Not a bad original clip, actually. Filming is OK. There's 2 problems with it tho: 1. It's a Skate 3 Demo video. 2. The rest of the video is pretty trash. (2:44)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDV6yrJPo5o

Clip 3: Same explanation as clip 2, but this time it's a nosebonk to late-flip down the bank. Did a late-shuv instead. My filming was actually better in this one than the next 5 videos I put out after that. Wtf. (2:49)

Clip 4: This one comes from Nature Welcomes TSxR3N3GAD3. The filming in this video isn't bad, but there are WAY too many filler clips. In addition, most of them were at parks, but I managed to find one in here that was worth hitting again. Better filming, hit it switch, and added a nice flip in there. (0:31)

Clip 5: This one is the first clip where I hit the spot 100% differently than I did originally. Krooked X Street Montage clip. Still love the song. RIP Chris Cornell! Instead of that gigantic gap I did originally I opted for a kickflip noseslide. Off of the slope, onto the rail, perfect catch. Wish the landing was a little better, but the catch here was too good to scrap. (1:35)

Clip 6: This one comes from the Sponsor Me Vid off of the DRIZZYxCO (I didn't pick that name, by the way) channel. The line that I hit before actually wasn't bad and not badly filmed either, but I decided to turn the spot into 2 clips. I had WAY too many videos with basic ass lines and I was trying to come up with something new. Switch noseslide, 270 out. (0:28)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-GF5MyrmJM

Clip 7: This one is a line I got from one of my clips in the Refugee Graphics promo. That line had been hit a million times before, but you can still make it look cool if you do the right tricks and film properly. Heel-to-tailslide followed by the backwards smith on the 2nd rail fits the bill. (3:15)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riuOYXQK9YM

Clip 8: This one is from Can't Stop. Looking back at it, I thought the original idea was dope, but I should've hit the manual on the bottom and double angled it. That's exactly what I did here with the long lens looking better than the original as well. (0:23)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5IlpZ_2GHE

Clip 9: This one is inspired by a line from Krooked X All Day, but I decided to hit it a little differently. Still tailslide to popless on one of those benches tho. (1:10)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3JgKdEjAZs

Clip 10: This one's inspired by the last clip in Renegade's First Solo. Same line, but different tricks, better filming, and better execution. (1:33)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ub0YI2d3CAM

Clip 11: This one's inspired by the last clip in the Renegade Mini. The filming is actually good on the clip, but it's the banger and it's just a plain old crook. Let's do it switch, add a kickflip, and catch it nicely. (0:45)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HU-8sNU5CQA

Clip 12: Same explanation as clip 6, but a different spot from the line. Heelflip, 50-50, nose manual out. (0:28)

Clip 13: This one comes from the DRIZZYxCO sponsor me vid. Originally hit a basic ass line down it. This time, I did switch hardflip nosebonk on the 1st and a heelflip to nose manual on the 2nd (1:15)

Clips 14, 15, and 16: This one was inspired by a basic line I hit at that spot in the DRIZZYxCO sponsor me. Instead, I did 3 different wallie clips to go along with the music (1 for the money, 2 for pussy and foreign cars, 3 for Alize niggas deceased or behind bars...) (0:56)

Clip 17: This one is from the Sponsor Me on my main channel which happens to be one of the best videos I've ever made. It may be the best solo I had back in the day aside from the Skate 2 one with Derk, PoppinSuds, Cole Fizzle, and Later Late Shuv in it. What's my problem with the original clip? Basic line, and a high pop at the end that made me overshoot the stairs. 5-0 to popless 360 out over the stairs? Now that's more like it! (0:49)

Clip 18: This one's inspired by a grind I did in Nature Welcomes TSxR3N3GAD3, but I hit the spot a little differently and got a gnarly clip! Heelflip to salad, but if you look closely you'll notice that I managed to grind the rail and the ledge at the same time. Holy shit!! (1:37)

Clip 19: This one comes from the Sponsor Me vid on my main channel. I remember MikeNikeSB talking shit in the comments over this one and RealSkater telling me the same thing. I kept trying to get on Pandemic back in the day... Anyways, forget the powerslide thing that made me lose speed and cause the clip to look like shit. How about a nice line on the rail with some clean filming? Can't go wrong there. (0:28).

Clip 20: This one comes from Illusion Welcomes Renegade. I always loved that spot, and thought that the filming was good too, but wished I would've double angled it and done it without hitting my arm on the wall. That's done exactly here. (1:28)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QjjrhrgSm4

Clip 21: This one come's from Renegade's Back. I don't think there was actually much wrong with the original clip, but this time I hit it with a popless kickflip to perfect catch crook. I'd say that's a wee bit harder than a 360 shuv to tailslide. (0:25)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2hdwhMZ53U

Clip 22: This one's from my part in the Illusion full length CounterPhobia. Cole, Seth, and Blake would always give me shit for doing a benihana at the end of the line. Not this time. (10:09)

    https://vimeo.com/27559510

Clip 23: This one was inspired by a line I did in Krooked X All Day. Instead of a basic line with terrible filming, how about a cool way of hitting the spot filmed nicely? (0:55)

Clip 24: This one was inspired by a spot from Renegade's Second Solo. I thought the original clip I got was dope at first. I even slow-moed the popless shuv on the ledge! Is it cool? No, basic as fuck. This new clip though? DOPE!! Took a look at the other planter adjacent to it and noticed that gap. Laid down a piece of plywood, hopped on the ledge, and did a switch bigflip over the gap. This one is full length worthy, but I kept it for this one instead (0:36)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKOuKND9Ydk

Clip 25: Another clip inspired by Renegade's Second Solo in which I hit the spot entirely differently. Instead of yet another basic ass line I opted to gap from the bank into the slope. In addition, I don't think I've ever seen anyone film a stale tuck knee before and I thought it looked dope when I filmed it showing my board to the camera like that. (1:38)

Clip 26: This one's from Refugee's New Awakening Promo. Nothing wrong with the original clip actually, but I just wanted to be able to say that I re-did a clip from all of my old videos. Maybe my obsession with long lens at the time? I can't really think of anything else. (1:47)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bx3AmqkgYKc

Clip 27: This one's from Renegade's First Solo. Another basic line? Overcrooks on ledges? I'll pass. This time, I hit a dope spot in the vicinity instead. (1:09)

Clip 28: This one's also from Renegade's First Solo because of the rail I used, but it actually applies to a lot of these. Kickflip hurricane was easily the clip I did the most often in all of these. It was even a banger in one or two of these. It thought it would've only been appropriate to have one in this video. (0:12)

Clip 29: This one's from Can't Stop. I don't know if the tricks are necessarily better here, but the filming is. (0:08)

Clip 30: This one's from the DRIZZYxCO Sponsor Me. Instead of the basic line I did a sweet switch kickflip to noseblunt. Love the filming on that one (1:20)

Clip 31: This one was inspired by a line in Renegade's Second Solo, but I hit the line a bit differently. A bit more difficult than before. (2:36)

BANGER: This one was from Renegade's Second Solo. In that video I did a tre flip to perfect catch tailslide, but didn't double angle it, put it in the middle of the video, and didn't film it as well as I should've. This time? Fuck that! Triple angle that bitch!! How did I not realize how dope that was?! (1:20)

Welp, there you have it. I mostly came up with this idea as a means to pass the time while PoppinSuds finishes the full length, but I think this turned out pretty damn good actually. I Hope the explanation wasn't too excessive and I hope you enjoyed watching it. Comments would be dope. There's always room for improvement with me...
