Ok we have our 10 skaters and editors. Here is the list.

02. Embers BLS
03. EmmitBrown
04. Roccityroller

06. Piktro
07. ell595
08. andersatan
09. Stevland
10. schnavolda

I think we should have everyone do two clips. Clips avg between 5 to 10 seconds so the video will be anywhere between 2-4 minutes. I'm open to suggestions on how to get the clips to each other. You can either just download them from each others reel of have one site that everyone uploads them too. I'm thinking we give one week max to get your clips up and then 1 week or possibly 2 weeks to get the video finished. Winner take all and as of now I'm thinking it's a $15 dollar itunes or MS points. That would be easy for me to buy the card and email the winner the code for them to redeem.

Any thoughts or suggestions??? I know Piktro was talking about speed of the clips. Does everyone agree we should upload at 100% speed?

i prefer two clips over one, too.

why not just put the links to the skate.reel clips in here? then everything is in one place, easy to find, easy to access and the flv-files are just one click away for everybody. it's the most convienient solution imo.

maybe you could even update the first post like:

01. name
<link1> <link2>
02. name
<link1> <link2>
03. ...

one week for uploading clips and two for editing are fine, also. so something like uploading until this sunday, editing until 16th of august or so.

schna's ideas good, alternatively, if everyone wants to dl their flvs and send them to a common person by email (i'll do it if necessary, I'll DL them and upload a single zip file to sendspace.

This way everyone can put their name in the filename of the FLV so everyone will know who's skating in each clip.

Personally, I'd go with the MS points, you know most people here could use those, and not everyone (me) uses itunes. However, i could sell it to my sister, so idc.

or every1 mails his clips to Stuman, he makes a Rar / zip-file and uploads it to megaupload, or sendspace.

Then he just posts the link and Code here.

I haven't used megaupload before but if everyone want's to email me their two clips thats cool. I'll try and figure it out. So as soon as you can send your clips to dstuart3@mac.com.

Use send space. have everyone name their clips like "[name] - clip #" and then once you get everyone's compress them into a rar or zip file. then go to sendspace.com and fill in the fields. it'll give you a link once it uploads and then post the link here.

Ok so the contest will be judged on the following criteria. 75% editing and 25% filming. So the skating won't count but filming will be judged. The rules are fairly simple. All clips must be used so there will be 20 total clips. You can use any music you want and create your own intro as long as it doesn't involve any tricks other than the 20 clips. Any other suggestions or questions? I'm pretty open.

Yes 100% speed clips. Then you can choose to use slow mo with your editing software then that's cool. And Piktro you will only be judged by your own filming just to make it clear. Everyone should have my email so send in your clips ASAP. Once I have them all I will get them posted. If there is anything unclear or any suggestions just ask me or post it here.

Man great idea!! If there's another one I'd love to get involved! Can't wait to see how this turns out!

Man. Such a great idea. I can't get over how much I like this project. I used to do similar things with making music - people would upload samples, and each person makes a track using the sample set. Lots of fun and a great way to show everyone's unique style.

Best of luck to everyone. This is a HEAVY list of skaters/editors.

Damn, i missed this thread. So i film no more than 10 secs of footy, whether it be in 1 or 2 clips. We send the reel link to Stu's email, he creates a file with all the links in and then we download the clips ourselves. Edit the vid, upload them to our own youtube's

question... so since we can create our own intro... can we do scenic shots and other stuff that doesn't involve tricks or anything??

anddd..... can we add fillers to our vid.... like an example would be a quick shot of a hobo to stick in a random spot

ten skaters, each filming and submitting two clips -> 20 clips.

each of the ten skaters now becomes an editor, putting together a video with the 20 clips mentioned, so that everybody has the same source clips to get comparability between the final edited videos.

in the end, there will be ten videos, one by each, which will be judged by other people than then ten participants.

Amp, yes you can create your own intro's and use filters and create scenic shots as long as no tricks are involved.
