what I know:

we were discussing (me,demz,stevland) if we should combine skate 3 news/skate 3 general discussion (needs to be done doesn't really make sense having both) nobody seemed sure how to do it concerned what might happen. Stevland said he thinks he knows, but doesn't want to delete a bunch on accident. I said I don't think that will happen because introduction was gone for a long time and when it came back all old threads were still there. Mamba said he thinks he can do it, did it, and it put everything (or most things) in general discusion.

i would say that you do a server rollback to a point before mamba pulled a mamba. that way we only loose the most recent postings.

Yea, let me say again: I'm sorry for the snafu.

Demz, i'm fairly confident it would be easy to put all older threads into an archive. Probably better than deleting all the old shit.

but yea, rollback (if possible) would get everything back to the way it was yesterday, but we would lose any new posts since then.

the decision's up to y'all. let me know if i should start moving threads back

Sadly there is no simple "undo" or "rollback" option. I don't backup the database all that often so if we wanted to do a rollback we'd lose a lot. We'll have to manually move everything back.

This stuff always tends to happen when there are too many people with too many rights.

When it comes to stuff like merges in the future, send me an IM/Email/PM...
