    Question Big Gap filming help

I need help with filming big gaps like stairs and things like that. Just 2 questions:

    1) What lens mm should I use?
    2) what angle and positioning should I use on AFC to get the whole gap?

    its all about preference...
for long lens shots i go between 150 and 240ish
close up i go with 15

as for the angle it's all up to you
whatever you think makes the trick look good...

I'd say try different camera positions until you find one you like the most.

And dont be afraid to try out different lenses

long lens doesn't need to be a static shot either... a little bit of movement on a high mm lens can go a lonnng way.

Thanks guys. It's just that I noticed the whole "Close-up next to your skater's feet" doesn't work for me alot.

EDIT: This is sorta related to the question. Everytime I tried to get a lens mm lower than 24mm, I just get 10 mm. Seks how'd you get 15 mm?

    controll yo timeline...

    try this...

set key marker at 30... set key marker right next to it at 24... then set another key marker, next to that one, and check the mm... the further away from the first two you get, the lower the mm goes untill you get to 10. Set a marker at the mm that you want and then delete the other two.

then just click the remaining keymarker like you're going to edit it, set it where you want it and then all the rest of your keyframes on that timeline will be that mm unless you change them.
