To be quite honest, EA staff gave up on the Skate forums a long time ago. For them, it was like going to work and having all the kids tell you that you're doing a shitty job. A demoralizing way to spend the day, so they stopped listening. I don't think any amount of positivity or post boosting is going to help over there.

One thing that EA does is check the statistics of your gameplay. Developers can tell when you're playing, what game mode you're using, and where in the city you're playing. (basically, all of the stats in your career mode, and much much more.) This isn't just an EA thing, it's tracking that all developers are using to make future instalments of a series. In my opinion, the best thing that people can do to have an effect on the series, is to not stop playing the game.

as sad as this is, we all knew the day would come eventually.

As someone that has a cap card, almost never plays online or skates other peoples parks I really dont see it as the biggest deal.

We'll get less traffic at EA, less drama.

At some point the only people hanging around will be the ones that really love the series, enough to invest in HD PVRs or Cap Cards.

Thank god we have Fluckit, theres going to be a lot less people, a lot less videos, but that'll just bring us that much closer.

The last time I checked EA's forum was before joining here. I found it worthless to keep on posting/checking that site. Full of nada. This site got me stoked since the very first time I entered. And this site is great because of the people behind it.

I think it's been proven that there is a market for realistic skateboarding. Skate 3s market failure had more to do with it being released next to Red Dead Redemption and a short one year development cycle.
I think there will be another realistic skateboard game but will it be made with the same love that BB put into skate and skate 2? If, nay, when the skate servers go down I will buy a capture card and WHEN the zombie apocalypse strikes I will run my 360 off a bicycle deep in an underground bunker.

when ea finishes ssx they will work on another skate game...



now mind you if its the ssx guys doing the work it may not be a realistic game..
if bb works on it i would be surprised to see more content...

the minds behind skate put every last thing they had into s3..
more than what ea wanted to release..
in my opinion another skate would be great but dont be surprised to see major features removed..
