    Question Quality help?

Hey guys i was just looking at the quality of my clips compared to a lot of yours and the quality of my clips is much worse, so im lookin for some advice on how to get great quality.

    So here's the situation:
I have the S3 filmer pack and I am now recording clips in high resolution
I use iMovie '09 to edit the footage (When making a new project I choose to "Optimize" the video for "Full - Original Size"
I convert the clips from .flv format to .mov format using either http://www.mediaconverter.org/ or http://www.youconvertit.com/ConvertFiles.aspx

Here's an example of one of my recent clips:

And here's another S3 vid to compare it to that has good quality in my opinion:

Anyone have any ideas for how i could improve the quality? Thanks

Well, online converters aren't going to give you the best quality, nor are they going to give you much leeway as to adjusting settings to fix that.

If you could screen cap your export dialog from iMovie, i may be able to help more.

you mean take a screenshot? i could probably figure out how to do that. what exactly do you mean by export dialog?
(btw imovie doesnt accept .flv format files, so guess different video editing software would kinda be an option...)

not many editing softwares will import .flv properly. flv (flash video) is an end-use container, meaning its meant for finished products, not raw materials. So, converting is the only option. Idk what programs are available for mac since i'm on PC.

and what i mean by export dialog is the screen that it gives you with all the settings for rendering the final project, aka where you were able to "choose to "Optimize" the video for "Full - Original Size" and hopefully a bunch of other settings.
