    Default Preferred wheels?

I got a new board from a friend. Some local company board, Ace trucks, and Gold wheels. The wheels kinda suck. They don't slide that well, they feel like their being dragged, and I don't get that loud screech noise I like. I'm pretty sure I'll get flatspots while sliding during a hillbomb. What wheels would you guys recommend? I usually skate Bones, but I thought I'd try to switch it up a little. Always down for something new.

    company doesnt really matter, hardness/size/width...

sounds like you want a harder wheel, dont really know what to recommend, i like em soft...

I suggest you do a little reading http://www.ehow.com/how_2209120_sele...rd-wheels.html ect

then pick something, then go from there, little softer, harder, bigger whatever

I've been riding the same size wheel for 3 years. I just want to switch it up a little bit, so I thought I'd ask for some recommendation. I know the hardness of most wheels that most companies use. I've tried multiple types of wheels. Spitfire classics, streetburners, parkburners, Bones SPF and STF, Revolutions, Pigs, and now Golds. I like to get other people's recommendations when looking for new products.

    lol.

Currently 53mm Bones stf wheels. powerslide real good. no flat spots yet. but i'm willing to test that.

i was using enuff wheels, they were shit. really bad.

    ricta's were okay.

    always been at 53mm

You probably ride a bigger board. =P
I'd wheel bite very quickly with 53s.
Have you tried anything else beside Bones, Enuff, and Rictas?

I've always been down with Autobahn. I'm also down for this new company called Goodlife Wheels that Gmos rides for. Size 53's preferably.

I'm thinking of trying the Brezinski Glow ones. They're 51mm and perfect for how I skate. Do they really last as long as I've heard?

Small board, low trucks, wheel bite fast.

i've always used this blank company called dualite or something. They are pretty hard and slide good, only downside is that they wear down pretty quickly

I don't know how long you've heard but they always last awhile for me. I've never gotten a flatspot from silly shit like powersliding through the last 90 degrees of a fakie full cab or like some people do with bs flips. But if you bomb a hill and your powersliding constantly they'll flatspot like anything else. Just depends on how you skate.

I don't bomb hills constantly. Every now and then my friends and I will take this big ass hill to the park so we have to powerslide every now and then. I rarely get flatspots because of the hill, but these Golds just worry me. It's hard to get a decent revert as well.

spitfire 95 a's ftw... but my buddy bill danforth just started a new wheel comp with mike vallely called landshark and gave me a set of prototypes the demo he was at here a few months ago with 1031 since my boy nate perkins is sponsered by them and i had many of nights with bill at the bar at nicks in hattiesburg... great wheels but are not good on metal ramps' they just dont grip them- but everything else is kosher........

    hahah

I can testify that every wheel I've tried has gotten flatspots. The last ones have been super guaranteed ultra-mega-flatspot resistant. No luck there.
