    Default Wood Grain (?)

Wondering if anyone has any good tips for wood grains using the gc.

    WoodenBoard by JailCat

Powell Jay Smith & Powell Deck by IIIIKILROYIIII2 (His alt account)

Powell Brite Lite & Beamer Deck by IIIIKILROYIIII2

These are the best ones I have seen thus far, but in the game they look washed out and really lose the wood look because it is too subtle I am guessing. It sounds odd, but I'd like to try and create a Blank Wood deck.

    Example:
    Bear "replicant" Powell
    "I am Shaolin-Style!"

doesnt sound odd to me at all..... already thought that its a shame that theres only that one single wooden Plan B deck (with that dogtown-style graphic) in game. so if youll make a good looking one ill skate that for sure...

If I can get it figured out, then it will definitely be up here.

thought about this a couple of times, but was never able too get it to work right. You mainly just have to play around with the colors. Maybe one of the GC wizards will be of more assistance

light on light details works better ingame when you add a solid black layer over it at 50% opacity.

So, if I did say light brown as the base and varying shades of guessing brown->black as the base wood design, then do the 50% layer over it would cause the subtle colors to pop?
That breaks my brain a little bit, but I'll have to give it a try and see what I can do. Will have to figure out how to create more flame maple styling, sanded knots, and maybe crossgrain looks so the boards have that real feel. This'll prob make me go blind looking at the GC tool. Years of college using Photoshop and EA gives me a tool that makes MS Paint look advanced...

yeah graphic creator is pretty bad, but you eventually get used to it, well if you're familiar with vectors. i swear if they gave us a pen tool i'd be done so much quicker with all the gc's i've done. it'd seriously mean i'd have more by now..

and i don't know why but the light on light detail shows us so much better ingame with the 50% black layer on top of it. it's because the game automatically adds brightness to imported graphics.
