Color Correction
What is everyone's view on the topic of color correction in videos?
I made something using it for the first time..
Just some tints and contrast using the filmer pack
I lost some quality in my filetype but certain things look more clear.
The one in the game seems alright..
but the orange tone to the skater's skin kinda bugs me.
I never really use the in-game one.. I strongly recommend getting Magic Bullet plugin for either Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere. You get loads of different already set colours and you can tweak them however you like. Just a heads up though cause the rendering time will take far more longer if you use it.
Now what I like about it is that it brings certain depth to the video, and it's always nice to see a video that stands out from all the others. Me personally I think it's a great tool and should be used by most editors if not all of them.
Ofc if you don't want any colours you can just tweak the Colour Correction in the editing software.. It's still better than the in-game one.
Do you have any footage of your method?

That industrial area is nearly grey scale it's so dull lol
Final Cut Pro/Exrpess has one of the easiest color correcting tools out there, I believe.

colour correction helps tonnes with clips that are in shady areas for sure.
i did it on a line of roc's where he started outside, then went inside, and split parts of the clips where he was gradually getting darker, increasing the brightness, then fading the clips into each other, so no one noticed. it's really helpful for dark clips

i gave this video a colder tone by increasing the blues a little, and turning down the vibrance.

magic bullet looks is a great plugin many presets, fairly simple. takes forever to export though.
Yeah I don't mean to plug my solo but for the sake of showing what this tool can do I'll point out some instances. On the first trick I enhanced the black levels and gave the clip a little peachier tone (I really wanted to enhance the background graffiti). :41-:51 I used the same peach tint but removed the black enhancement and, again, I thought it looked real nice.
As for clearing up the shady zones, at 2:11 I used my peachy setup as well as increasing the brightness a tad which really lit up the shadow that was cast by the cliffside

I use a cc on practically all of my edits.
I think color correction could be awesome, but I most of the time I can't stand it when people use those overly out-there color corrections (on fisheye clips) - on the whole video.
I love magicbullet as well, but now I rather use my own.
My cc makes stuff a bit more vivid witout overexposing:
