Default CNBS/Pandora Present: Park Storm Pt. 3 Port Venice

In case you didn't already read the first two , park storm was an idea thought up by CNBS's team leader Duce in order to wake up the creativity in all of us. We all came up with a park theme one object and an area in the park and switched off with other team members to see what we came up with. I was given Duce's, an Italian square with outdoor seating for a restaurant and a gap across a canal.

This is Port Venice, a small italian community known for it's cuisine and for being completely over run by skateboarders ever since someone knocked out a guard rail and began gapping the canal.

The front of one of the restaurants, with small planters for quick grinds.

    Custom tables for grind combos.

    Benches by the canal gap.

    The gap itself.

Bump to rails on the bridge.

There are a bunch of stairs all over the spot.

There are a grand total of THREE secret spots, one is really easy to find, one is a bit more difficult and the last one is an aneurysm.

    Overview!

There are plenty of spots to hit in this park if you move everything around you'll find alot of gaps and things to hit that aren't obvious. I mixed up a couple ungrindables in here as well.

You know how every time you make a park I have some fucking feature I have to comment on and desperately hope to one day steal it's the fucking lunch tables holy shit they look good.

This is the best park competition dealie I've seen, so far all three park storm parks have looked incredible.

Dude this is flucking dirty...That water...disgusting...just filthy! Talk about having the keys to ones cap heart you got em man*Hands ohmid keys*. I cannot wait until i move into my new house so i can play these new park storm caps.

1- The custom benches(in pic 3)...man thats clever with the zen rails...nice! I like that you used catwalks for it too as it makes double grinds better looking. I'm pretty positive you’re the first to do this and my new philosophy for caps is that you’re not at the level if you dont have at least one never been done in your park.

2- The layout of the canal, stairs, and bridge is solid! I really like it man

3-Those mini planters in pic 2 look like a great spot for some low/fast pop tech grind lines.

Its funny you got assigned to build this idea because about a month and a half ago i started planning out a remake of the venice canal with the rl bride and everything! Lol Glad you did it though cause I couldn't get it worked out in my head to ever start. Pumped to film here man...lets make a park storm video with yours, duces, mine, and whoever else's park storm that wants to get involved!

Thanks guys! The real problem with this cap was the layout, nothing felt authentic, and then I had to figure out how I was gunna make less obvious gaps and secret spots and then I had an earthquake, luckily i stopped it. I hope you guys are enjoying it!

Some really fun and cool ideas (2 rail benches, planters, upside down rails, etc.), some stuff looked a bit out of place, but the detailing was great. My only knock is having 3 "secret area's". I have never been fawned of these. It just seems like a waste imo, terrain that could be used in the actual area.. However, the secret spot that was an alley with stairs was fucking awesome. I wish you would have just had it as a normal area in the park. It was probably my favorite part of the park! Really good job though man

Hahahaha i mean I just wanted to throw some vert in it and I wanted to make a park that worked like a city (little gems everywhere) That's how I'm gunna be building alot from now on, stuff that forces you to explore.

Don't get me wrong I loved the park, that just irritates me in any park haha. It's a personal preference kind of thing. When I explore parks, I explore for interesting little gaps and lines that are not planned by the creator.

Easy dude, just wanted to give some feedback after I shredded this little number last night,

The benches are amazing, I love the entranceway you start or land in, films buff.

I liked some of the little spots dotted about, multi layered ledges etc, some good thoughts.

To be completely honest, I think you should have dropped the hidden spots n used the terrain to fill or detail the main park but still, lots of fun to be had.

    Peace

It's a beautiful thing seeing how much you've progressed with your park building skills.
If I ever win the lottery and decide to fund a new skate game, I want you and old-skooler-34 to be my main designers for the city.
    Doesn't hurt to dream.

edit: I just read the whole park storm theme so I have no idea which part you created yourself midineffect, but the park looks great so props to everyone who put into it.

Hahaha thanks man! *bows* the theme for the park and concept were thought up by Duce NLS I just laid hands on my controller and built it up. As for designing a city... you may not need the lottery to see a glimpse of that dream.
