    That's the whole point >_<

You stop listening to the band once they get discovered

    I'm confused.

you say "you" like ur talking to me. And not about "them"

I never listened too that band. lol

I know what you mean tho. Some like bands for the sole reason they are "underground." Its lame.

I second this. Also, there are also the idiots who like bands just because they're popular. Music is turning into a fashion statement to the public, and it's getting really annoying. I can ramble for hours about this, but instead I'll just leave it there.

I see people all the time that are bragging about what they have on their iPod, or only listening to music because it's the song everyone else likes. Just like fashion, people dress because that's how you're supposed to dress. A ton of people don't listen to music just because they like the music, half the time they don't even like it.
One example of this is that a song on the radio everyone pretends to "love," and then after a week the song is "old" and thus they no longer like it. REAL music doesn't feel dated.
People use music as a way to say "Oh hay look at me I'm cool" instead of actually finding something they really connect with and feel for. I mean, listen to the radio for like 10 minutes. The music they play on there is lackluster, far from creative, and everyone gobbles it up because if it's the "New thing" they want to be part of the bandwagon.

    I. Love you.
Man, you don't know how much i agree with you. I personally can't stand the..."new music".. nor the attitude "cool people" have against the music.
I personally don't know any of the music that plays. xD
But that's mostly beacuse I listen to the more hardcore end of metal *cough*slipknot<3*cough* and therefore don't listen to the radio. xD

Can't agree more with this as well. I cannot stand listening to the radio with the shit music that plays. There's maybe 1-2 radio channels I occasionally listen, one which plays old classics from bands like metallica, acdc, etc. and another one which plays alternative/punk rock/indie like the offspring, modest mouse, nirvana, etc. As long as it sounds good to me, I'll listen to it, popular or not.

Love the background music, the vocals are "eh" with me, but that's just me. Anyway, the picture reminds me of TF2. IT'S HAPPENING ALL OVER AGAIN D:

Music has always been a fashion statement for the general populace. This is not a new trend.
Hell, music becomes a literal fashion statement when you see how many rebellious punks trying to be unique all wear the same fucking "Punk Rock" uniform for example.

Also, <3 Jon LaJoie. He's an everyday normal guy.

I used to listen to those bands as well, but once they recorded music and made videos I lost interest. The bands I listen to now don't sell out and by instruments or anything.

    BUMP! AAAND

Right now I'm listening to this amazing song by Kurt Hunter.

Don't know why, It just touches me in some special way..

Also, I'd recommend everybody who likes rock in any way, to once again, listen to a band called Twin Atlantic.
They are by far my favorite band in the world, they make some amazing songs and, the Scottish accent just crowns the masterpiece.

    Check them out HERE

I'm an electro type. I listen to Daft Punk, Chase & Status, Madeon, etc. Also have an occasional spot of Kanye or Busta

Kanye West might be a douchebag, but some of his music is Fucking Awesome.

The Foo Fighters are pretty dope as well

That Josh Doyle song was great Ladd thanks for sharing! I think I like the live performance better than the studio version.
